Structure Of This Course
Day

Begin your diving journey with theory sessions and engaging videos, followed by a swim or snorkel test. If you’ve already completed your eLearning at home, you can dive straight into the in-water training with our instructors. Get ready to start your underwater adventure with confidence!

It’s time to step into the water! Learn confined water skills in a safe, shallow environment and enjoy your very first Open Water training dive. This day helps you build comfort, control, and confidence beneath the surface while having loads of fun.

03
Continue mastering your diving techniques with the second set of confined water skills and your second Open Water training dive. This day focuses on improving your buoyancy, underwater navigation, and overall diving awareness to prepare you for open ocean dives.

The best day of all — boat dive day! Hop aboard for two amazing off-shore dives where you’ll complete your Open Water dives 3 and 4. Experience the thrill of real ocean diving and wrap up your course with a quick final exam.

Frequently Asked Question
It depends on your medication and overall health condition. Before starting your dive, you’ll be required to fill out a medical form. If you answer “yes” to any of the medical questions, you must obtain a doctor’s clearance confirming it’s safe for you to dive. Remember — your safety always comes first!
If you have any pre-existing medical condition, you must obtain medical clearance from your doctor or physician before diving.
If you are above 50 years of age, a doctor’s clearance is required even if you have no medical conditions.However, if you are under 50 and medically fit, you can simply sign a self-declaration form confirming your health status.
Even if you’re a doctor yourself, it’s strongly recommended to have another qualified medical professional sign your medical form. This ensures an unbiased assessment of your fitness to dive and maintains compliance with diving safety protocols for your well-being.
We strongly recommend reviewing the PADI Medical Statement before enrolling in any diving course or traveling to the Andaman Islands. If you have a pre-existing medical condition or are above 50 years of age, you must present a valid medical clearance before diving. Without it, participation is not allowed. Please note — doctors capable of providing dive medical assessments are not available on the island.
Of course! You can join the PADI Discover Scuba Diving Program, where an experienced dive professional will be with you at all times — they can even assist with swimming if needed. However, for the PADI Open Water Course, basic swimming skills are essential. You’ll need to swim 200 meters (or snorkel 300 meters) and float for 10 minutes in water deep enough where you can’t stand.
